Comfy Sweater Days by hellosimpleme-1 featuring an oversized cream sweater

There's something about fall; the changing of the color in the trees, the scent of the air, the color of the grass, I find it so beautiful. Fall is my favorite time of year- I love the days filled with sweaters, leggings, boots, and plum colors.

One of my favorite fall staples that seem to never go out of style?

A comfy oversized sweater.

I have a few of these in my closet that I bought over the summer, in classic colors so I can wear them season after season.

If you can, I highly suggest picking some sweaters up, before you know it (depending on where you live) you might end up wishing you had more sweaters with the snow season flying upon us fairly quickly.  Its not that I don't mind the snow, but fall is my favorite<3 I love the gradual transition from summer into fall. Breaking into comfy sweaters, sweatshirts, and layers. Love, love, love.

I know...

Alright, alright, alright. Ya got me. I NEEDDDDD to start blogging again, but really though. This college thing is rough.

 And you can see the white background in the picture? I am in the laundry room in my dorm doing my laundry;) I still have awhile till its all done so I thought I would do a blog post in between my studying and working on papers. I have TWO tests tomorrow-blah. So maybe I will reward myself with a blog post after I get done with them ;) I would love to sit around blogging all day and have my roommates take OOTD pictures for me. Maybe I will have them do that for me at one point of time. 

I should just stop making excuses and start blogging again weekly but I really want to do well in school, and until I find a routine its going to have to be this way for awhile and I sincerely do apologize.

First Post as a official college student

haaaayyyyy is for horses so I'll say hey(:

I'm a cheeseball yes, but I'm a happy girl for I am settling in nicely as a college freshman. So today I have more of a college related post for you guys: telling you about my first couple days of class, the adjustments, and so far my top 5 tips.


So the first couple days consisted of WW (welcome week); EVERYTHING was planned out, like seriously from wake up time to going to sleep was literally planned out for me and all the other freshman. Some of the stuff was mandatory but some things were not.
So tip #1. take ADVANTAGE of these group activities and silly ice-breakers to introduce yourself to people and make friends outside of the ones on your dorm hall. I've kinda stuck with my dorm hall friends but I also knew some other people outside the classroom already from orientation and my major day.

Once welcome week is done CONGRATS! Your now own your own. So therefore comes tips 2-5

#2 My college requires freshman to have thee unlimited meal plan; from what upperclassmen have been telling me... USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE while its unlimited.

#3 Join a club or organization to keep you busy- it also looks great on a resumé to be more well rounded. I joined the Soccer Club- do I know how to play soccer? He-Double hockey sticks-no! But is it fun? YES- I get to learn a new sport, exercise, and socialize with the upperclassmen who play (although the club I am in is dominated by the male gender but thats okay- it allows me to get more rough). I also will be doing Campus Ministry, and the Fashion Club.

#4 TIME MANAGEMENT: This is a BIGGGGG ONE. I have all my classes along with my work study in the morning and am done with all my classes and work study by 3:20 everyday of the week. So what I do is I get all the homework done that I can until say, 4:30-5PM because thats normally when soccer practice is or more recently the varsity games have been starting. So i tackle the hard homework first- go to soccer practice or a game as a reward, eat dinner, and go back to studying and doing homework. I've only had a couple days but I have been successful at getting things done now compared to putting things off in high school. You will know what I mean when you get here as well, you have to come to the realization that you PAY for these classes, the money you saved up from your two summer jobs will in return pay for that english class you took first term.

#5 You have to realize college is A LOT different then HS; this tip sort of relates to #4 but I forgot the other one  I wanted to write about so here ya go. Be prepared. There are no parents waking you up for school and telling you to get your butt up for school. No parents nagging you to study about that upcoming test instead of going to that sleepover in the other dorm. Its not like that anymore- its about finding a balance that works for you and satisfies all those needs! I for one will need to add blogging into my weekly schedule for this is the first post since I have written since moving to University. Its fun- but its alot of work as well.

Paris Amour

I have been obsessing with Paris, France recently. I cant wait till I get to visit next May and I am counting down the days until I get to hop on that plane and go to Europe. I have this fantasy about backpacking through Europe after I graduate college, if that happens then it will be a amazing blogging experience! 

This look is focused on the floral pant using black accessories to match the black in the backround of the floral. I picked such a dark color scheme thinking about a cloudy day roaming paris, looking super chic but being warm and comfortable at the same time. Obviously going with a beanie for warmth and a red lip! (I'm obsessing with red lips atm) 

On a different note, got my hair done this morningggg;) it is totally gorgeous and just what i wanted! You will be getting a big reveal soon;) oh, btw... I leave for college sat.. OMGSH. -.-

I'm So Studious: E.L.F Matte Lip Color Lipstick

I'm so studious with my nerd classes and my red lip stick. So the lipstick is what this blog post is about today! This E.L.F Matte Lip Color in Rich Red: seriously so beautiful and such a steal. I actually found this at the Dollar Tree (where everything is $1) and I was like E.L.F at this Store? I also saw some Milani makeup and I was going to snatch it all up but I decided to be a good girl and just treat myself to one thing, and since I LOVE to rock red lips- I picked the red lipstick ;)

I really like this matte lipstick, I like the vibrancy of the color, the price, the packaging ( will fit easily in my pencil pouch for school), the formula of it. For the price you really do get a good item! I would totally recommend it! 

It is from the E.L.F. studio line so normally those items are $3 so I believe if I hadn't purchased it there I would of had to buy it at the full $3 price which isn't bad as the full price whatsoever :D

Dorm Sweet Dorm: Decor Inspiration

Hey guys! Haven't been on here for a few days :(  I was going to post something yesterday and took pictures for it and everything but then, my phone fell in water and is now like... idk its alive but the screen isnt working so I didnt get to upload the pictures. I went to a CVS yesterday and bought some products from Rimmel London to try because I have a eyeshadow trio that i LOVE, so I wanted to try some of the other products(I bought a foundation, powder, gel eyeliner, and mascara). I'll try them for a few days then use my webcam to take pictures if my phone doesnt revive itself. -.-

As you can see from this polyvore post, its Dorm inspired! I move in next saturday the 31st and my last day of work is the 26th (only 2 more days!), and as you can see by all the school related posts and polyvore images that I am one EXCITED girl for college.

I have a few back to school posts in mind and I am hoping to get them up while I am at Univ. and the next few days as I get my stuff together but truthfully I have no idea if that will happen for sure since its pretty chaotic right now. & Plus we have a whole 'welcome week' schedule once I am at Univ. so we are doing stuff constantly; so the only time I would be able to put up a post is late at night for the first couple days till welcome week is over. I'm hoping once I have a few days of classes and getting used to everything I will be able to come up with a weekly schedule that would be made up of a couple regular postings even though there wont be as many as there have been during this summer. I am sure you-all understand.

Any tips for this college freshman to be?
