I'm seeing RED darling

I'm seeing RED darling

Red is a power color. It brings confidence to the wearer and makes a statement. As I gradually build my wardrobe for my up and coming adult life I will be sure to add red accessories and statement pieces to my wardrobe. Its sexy, fun, and when paired with the right accessories, professional.

As someone who hopes to be a designer someday, which means I will need to be able to be in charge and be a business woman, red will be my go-to.

The outfits above look more for a party than professional. But add a blazer, some black tights, and your work bag, and your ready to go.

What's your power color?

Three Outfits: Three Different People

Take Your Pick

I hope you all are having a wonderful day! I have spent the majority of my day in the library (aka I've been in the same spot for the last 5 hours working on my new assignment for my public speaking class) after I got done with my work study at 3PM  ( did I mention that is in the library as well?)

If I had to choose out of these three outfits it would be highly difficult for me since I really like all three of the outfits.

Have I ever mentioned I love to write? On that note I am going to do a bit of creative writing and make up stories about each of the three outfits and the type of female I could see wearing them.

Want to play? Let me know which you like most and maybe I will elaborate on that outfits story making up more about her as I do more Polyvore outfit posts.

Alright. Here we go:

Outfit One: One is a art student from New York City. She wants to someday run her own art gallery and feature a wall of her paintings inside. She is fluent in French and visits Paris often. She has a classic style but twisted at times to make it quirky and her own. She also likes taking pictures and is interested in photography. She loves NYC and someday wants to live there.

Outfit Two: Two is a Industrial Design student living in San Fransisco. She likes music, concerts, drawing and skateboarding. She has a edgy style and loves to mix it up. Today she has a date with a male friend at a starbucks in between her classes. She wants to look cute and feminine but adds the harder black details as to not loose her edgy side. Did I mention she has a black belt in Karate?

Outfit Three: Three is a Louisiana Sorority girl studying biology. She wants to become a scientist after she graduates grad school and then eventually she wants to get a doctorates degree. Don't like the super girly look fool you, she plays variety tennis and runs marathons. She loves to be funny and full of surprises, which is why she always enjoys telling people she is a biology major (everyone goes whaaattt?!).

Alright so there are my three outfit characters. Hope you enjoyed this post!!

The Holidays Are Among Us

The Holidays Are Among Us

Today is December 3, 2013. Which means that there are 22 days till Christmas morning! And because it is now the holiday season, there is no doubt in my mind that there will be plenty of Holiday party's that everyone will be attending. I'm actually going to one tomorrow night- I'm excited to break out my dress and show off some curves! ;)

ANYWAY- back to Holiday related parties, I feel like red is always the perfect color for december, or a dark green. Yes Christmas colors are red, and green, so thats part of it but red stands out boldly against the dark colors associated with the winter season. Plus, red is a power color and it definitely has that sexy edge to it.

Some may argue against matching the shoes and the clutch but I feel like if its really minimal, for example only the shoes and the clutch and isn't overpowering THEN I feel as if it is a alright thing to do. Some rules are meant to be broken.

OH- and a girl can never go wrong with a red lip and a classic low bun.

XOXO

p.s. I added the Santa hat on the image on the bottom left- I thought it was adorable;) I love the holiday season SO much. The atmosphere, the decorations, everything about it!! <3

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

I was sitting here earlier wondering what I was going to be wearing to thanksgiving dinner then I thought- HEY find some inspiration from Polyvore. SO here we are. Thanksgiving OOTD ideas. All 3 I wanted to be comfortable and cute at the same time. I seriously love the Cat leggings! Adorable. I'm tied at outfit one with the cat leggings and the third one with the orange skirt as my favorite.

Which do you guys like best?
