Valentine by hellosimpleme-1 featuring cocktail dresses

I'm sure you are all quite aware that Valentines Day is this Friday. So I created 3 looks around the signature valentine red for that date/dinner/ect. with your significant other. ;)

The first look is more causal, using red as accents rather than as the whole outfit itself. If you wanted more red you could add a red blazer which would also function later on in the night to keep you warm.

The second is the dressiest of the three outfits. A gorgeous red gown for a Valentines day ball or gala (or wherever you wanted to wear it!). The red pumps could easily be replaced with black pumps, since the rest of the accessories are black, and it would look just as good.

The third outfit is dressier than the first but not as dressy as the second assemble. Simple details pull this outfit together for a sultry look. I love the hairstyle I picked for this look, its definitely glamorous and could also work for the gown as well.

Personally I'm not doing anything special for Valentines day. I don't really have a significant other to go out with, but I wouldn't be able to anyway because my campus ministry is taking a trip this weekend and we leave on Friday; but thats alright because I know that this trip with be so much fun and I am looking forward to it. Plus a week from today (Tues. 18) will be my 19th birthday so its a great way to start end this week and start the week that my birthday is in.

Polyvore + OOTD

Business, Party and Casual by hellosimpleme-1 featuring lace tops

So I just got done doing my nails (Marc Jacobs Daisy inspired btw) They look great [Insert Image Below].

But I wanted to do a post and so I went to polyvore and created the outfits above. The one on the left is sort of inspired by Chanel, and the classic fashion personality. (We are learning about Fashion Personality's in my 'Personal Style' class.

The middle outfit is pretty classic as well but I loved the image of the girl with red hair. I thought it would be a awesome contrast against the classic outfit. Adding glittered heels make it more personal and add a statement.

The outfit on the right is a typical comfortable college outfit. College students fall into that typical 'comfort' style. Not all though because (we talked about this in class today) the majority of the fashion majors always look good because we.. love fashion :) (NOT saying that other students in other majors don't like to look nice/love fashion but as people who want to work in the fashion industry someday we definitely try to look our best).

Speaking of outfits that college students wear I'll do a quick OOTD for you.

Sweater was a christmas gift. I think it might be from Kohls.

Im thinking the earrings are from Guess, but to be honest I don't remember.

Calvin Klein leggings.

Winter booties are from Lands End.

Well this post feels a little scatter brained but that is alright. And if you noticed my hair looks a little different because I had it highlighted on monday! I think my mom felt bad since I miss my long hair so much, and she knew I needed another change so she surprised me with paying for highlights! So thank you Mum for that!! <3

P.s. I think I might start doing a series going along with the 'personal style' class that I am taking. This class will help with defining personal style and finding the right clothes that fit and work for you so it would be something cool to blog about. I'm thinking of calling it 'Style Saturday' and doing the post on saturdays. Or is that too cliché and silly? Let me know! :)

Inspiration Galore by hellosimpleme featuring zip bags

So I have a Inspirational post for you-all today! I seriously love making these polyvore posts! So for this look I have a cute outfit for fall with two bag options along with lots of hair inspiration! I chose the text of 'Come As You Are' because with 16 days until school starting I have been thinking a lot about being myself and how I'm going to act when I meet new people and such. So 'Come As You Are' is in relation to that!
So an update- I got my nails done Monday! For the first time I went and had acrylics (white Tips) done and I really love them, except its taking some time getting used to typing on my computer keys. (Should I do a post about my experience of getting my nails done, Cost and pictures? Leave a comment below!)
